T.U.D. Passes Budget

The Tuolumne Utilities District has approved a somewhat slimmed down spending plan for the current fiscal year.

The 2012/13 budget was approved at last night’s meeting. T.U.D. reports that labor expenses are down by $600K from last year. Six positions have been eliminated and two other positions will go unfilled.

The total budget is around $17 million. $9.2 million will go towards labor costs, $2.9 million for capitol improvement projects, $2.9 million for other operating expenses, $1.1 million in debt service, and $282K for implementation studies. The T.U.D. coffers are helped by the rate increases that went into effect earlier this summer.
