Body Found In Sonora

Sonora, CA — Sonora Police say they found a woman’s body near the railroad tracks on South Washington between Highway 108 and Hospital Road. It happened on Monday around 3:30pm behind the JS West propane tanks.

Sonora Police Chief Mark Stinson says emergency crews tried to revive the woman, but she was dead at the scene. He says it doesn’t look like foul play or drugs were involved.

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday. The incident is still under investigation.
