Possible Sierra Nevada Thunderstorms

The National Weather Service has issued a statement regarding the possibility of mountain thunderstorms this afternoon.

Thunderstorms have already developed over Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park, and are spreading north.

These thunderstorms may produce dangerous lightning, gusty winds, small hail and locally heavy rain. People hiking and camping in the National Parks and Forests should monitor the weather and seek shelter immediately if a thunderstorm approaches.
