$3.6 Million Awarded To Improve Rim Fire Watershed Health

Sonora, CA — A Mother Lode watershed health project is receiving a chuck of a $48.5 million funding pie.

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife on Monday announced the selection of 39 projects to receive funding for multi-benefit ecosystem restoration and protection related work under its Proposition 1 and Proposition 68 grant programs.

Tuolumne River Trust successfully applied for a grant for which is receiving over $3.6 million to implement Rim Fire watershed health improvements, including reforestation.

The awards were made under two separate solicitations for projects focused in watersheds statewide and specifically in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta.
