Tree Removal, Water Improvements And Fiber Installation Will Impact Traffic

Sonora, CA — There are various projects scheduled this week that will snarl traffic in parts of the Mother Lode.

There will be two-way traffic control on South Forest Road in Sonora this Tuesday and Wednesday because AT&T will be installing fiber optic cable between Sylvan Road and Stockton Street. Be prepared for slight delays between 7am-3pm on both days.

On Tuesday, TUD will be installing a new water service on South Snell Street in Sonora between 8am-4pm. South Snell Street will be closed between Green Street and Wycoff Street.

In Calaveras County, there will be up to 20 minute delays throughout the week due to tree removal work in various areas. Work is planned this week along Swiss Ranch Road, Deardorf, Skull Flat Road, Bald Mountain Road and Summit Level Road.
