Law Enforcement Issues On Agenda

The Calaveras County Supervisors will vote on matters related to the Sheriff’s Department.

At Tuesday’s meeting the board will decide whether to fill a vacant deputy Sheriff position. Some of the $90,984 would come from General Fund contingencies. It would require a 4/5 vote to be approved. The item was continued from the July 5th meeting. In addition, the county will vote on a $73,038 change order for Flintco Pacific related to additional utility work at the jail complex that’s under construction.

In other business, the Board will vote to consolidate the upcoming Angels Camp City Council and local school board elections with the November Presidential election. Tuesday’s meeting begins at 9am in the Supervisors meeting room.
