High Speed Crash

A Valley Springs man was hurt in a high speed crash last night.

The CHP reports that 22-year-old Thomas C. Land exceeded speeds of 100 miles an hour and lost control of a 2002 Corvette going into a curve on Hogan Dam Road. The car went through two metal fence posts and a barbed wire fence. Land was airlifted to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto. The crash happened at 7:52pm near the intersection of New Hogan Parkway.

The lone passenger in Land’s vehicle, an 18-year-old from Elk Grove, was not injured.
