An Inferno Demolishes A Mariposa Strip Mall

Mariposa, CA — An overnight fire destroys nearly 6 businesses in Mariposa.

Thick smoke clouded the downtown area when a fire erupted at the Pizza Factory attic in a strip-mall on Highway 140 & 5th street.

The Merced Sun Star reports around 40 people were in the restaurant at the time of the blaze. All escaped without injuries.

Fire officials say the cause of the inferno is still unknown.
