Brown Applauds Obama

Governor Jerry Brown is praising President Obama’s new stance on same-sex marriage.

The President made headlines yesterday by stating, “I think same sex couples should be able to get married.” It is expected to be a campaign issue in the upcoming Presidential election, as presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney quickly countered that he is in opposition.

California Governor Jerry Brown released a statement reading, “Equality before the law is a pillar of American democracy. I applaud President Obama’s support for the right of same-sex couples to marry.”

President Obama made the announcement during an interview with ABC News.
