Fatal Calaveras Motorcycle Crash

Arnold, CA – A man was killed in a motorcycle accident on Highway 4.


Michael R. Seright of San Mateo was riding near the Pool Station Road intersection and lost control of his 2002 Harley Davidson while going into a curve. Seright’s motorcycle went down an embankment and collided with a barbed wire fence. The CHP reports that Seright, 58, was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger on the bike was wearing a non-DOT approved helmet, 54-year-old Deborah F. Elksen of Copperopolis. Elksen was taken to UC Medical Center to treat what were described as major injuries.


The crash happened at 1:30pm on Sunday afternoon.
