New Duties For Assembly Member

Sacramento, CA — An area assembly member is getting added duties. Kristin Olsen of Modesto is now the Chief Republican Whip in the state assembly.

Her new responsibilities will include devising strategies, working on legislative solutions and giving direction to members during floor sessions.

Olsen says she is honored and will work hard to solve the challenges facing California. Her top priorities are education and public safety.

Olsen represents the 25th Assembly District. She is currently the Vice Chair of the Assembly Higher Education Comittee as well as a member of the Insurance, Agriculture and Join Sunset Review committees.

Assembly Republican Leader Connie Conway, of Tulare, appointed Olsen to this new position.
