Sonora Regional Ranks High

Sonora Regional Medical Center is celebrating recent patient satisfaction rankings.


SRMC has exceeded national benchmarks in both quality and patient satisfaction during the first quarter of 2012. The Medical Center reports that it has implemented numerous changes over the past few years to enhance the patient experience and quality.


“We’ve made tremendous progress in the way we are providing care for our community,” states SRMC President and CEO Jeff Eller.


The Medical Center has achieved a rank in the top 10 percent of acute-care hospitals in the United States for Medicare quality measures in treatment of acute myocardial infarction, heart failure, and surgical care improvement. The Medical Center has also achieved a rank in the top 10 percent for the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) measures on responsiveness of hospital staff, communication about medicine, and discharge information. Overall, the Medical Center scored in the top 25 percent of acute-care hospitals in the United States in the first quarter of 2012.
