Police Investigating School Theft

Sonora, CA — The Sonora Police Department is investigating a case where money was stolen from the Sonora Union High School District.

$3,700 was taken from a deposit bag that was in a locked location. Police Chief Mark Stinson says the report came into his office yesterday and adds that there are no leads at this time. The money was for the Associated Student Body and was collected at school events and activities.


Chief Stinson encourages anyone with information about the case to contact the Police Department or Sonora High School.
