Slick Roadways Across Mother Lode

Sonora, CA — Ice is leading to various accidents across the Mother Lode this morning.

The CHP reports that a vehicle has gone off Phoenix Lake Road and collided with a tree near Paseo De Los Portales Road. County sand trucks are heading over to Jamestown Road, just south of Sunshine Hill Road, because of reports of ice on the roadway. An ambulance is responding to a rollover accident in Tuolumne County on Ranchito Drive near the Panchito Way intersection. A pickup truck is currently on its roof.

Also, the buses at Sonora High School are not able to get up to Cedar Ridge this morning because of the ice and recent snow.

Allow yourself extra time when traveling this morning.
