Repeal Senate Boundary Maps?

California voters will decide the fate of newly drawn state Senate maps.

Proponents of a ballot measure calling for a repeal of newly drawn Senate boundaries have received enough signatures to place the issue on the November ballot. The announcement was made by the Secretary of State’s Office. The ballot measure is backed by Republicans, as the party is expected to lose seats with new boundary maps.

The ballot measure does not apply to the newly drawn Assembly and U.S. Congressional maps. The maps were drawn by the California Citizens Redistricting Commission.
