Parade With A Harte

The entire town of Twain Harte is excited about celebrating our nation’s birthday and despite the holiday, nearly every downtown retail store will be open for business.

That’s according to Shirley Virth, spokesperson for today’s “Parade with a Harte”. Virth was Thursday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.

Virth said that events will start at 9 AM this morning with most activities continuing through 2 PM.

The patriotic “Parade with a Harte” will start at 11:30 AM underneath the arch in downtown Twain Harte. The route charmingly runs for one full block.

Fire truck rides will be available at 1 PM at Cedar Drive.

The day will begin with face painting, removable tattoos, a bounce house and other family style things to see and do at Meadow Plaza at 9 AM.

A patriotic sing-along will start at 11 AM under the arch right before the parade.

Today’s events are thanks to the combined efforts of both the Twain Harte Business Association and the Twain Harte Chamber of Commerce.

The “Newsmaker of the Day” is heard every weekday morning on AM 1450 KVML at 6:47, 7:47 and 8:47am.
