Update: Crash Blocks HWY 4

Update at 4:50 p.m.: Tow crews have removed the wreckage after a collision that blocked both lanes of Highway 4 at the Moran Road intersection in the Arnold area of Calaveras County. The CHP reports traffic was stalled for about an hour as officers re-routed motorists. The roadway has completely reopened to travelers. Minor injuries have been reported in this crash.

Update at 4:15 p.m.: The CHP reports minor injuries in the crash on Highway 4 at the Moran Road intersection in Arnold. The wreckage is still blocking both lanes of the highway and a tow crew is headed to the scene as officers continue to re-route traffic. Further details on the crash are below.

Original post at 3:55 p.m.: Arnold, CA — Emergency crews are on the scene of a crash on Highway 4 that has stalled traffic.

The CHP reports that two-vehicles collided just east of Moran Road in the Arnold area. The wreckage is blocking both lanes of the highway with officers rerouting traffic. An ambulance has been called to the scene, but there is no word on injuries. We will bring you more details as soon as they come into the newsroom.
