T.U.D. Will Tap A Replacement

Sonora, CA – The Tuolumne Utilities District (T.U.D.) wants you. They are trying to tap a replacement to fill Jim Grinnell’s vacant seat. He resigned earlier this month due to health issues.

The board is taking Statements of Interest from those wanting to fill the position. Board President Mike Sarno says they could see a lot of interest, if last Novembers heated election is any indicator.

Sarno says, “Right now we are in a toss-up. If we have 15 to 20 people who want to respond, we may decide to put it to committee to narrow it down, or we may decide to go ahead and interview everyone. We’ll probably, based on public interest, go to interviewing each candidate.”

That issue will be taken up at the board’s July 9th meeting. The deadline for submitting a statement is July 5th.
