Rain Returns Next Week

According to the National Weather Service, widespread and abundant tropical moisture is expected through Tuesday.


One to three inches of rain may fall over the Sierra Nevada. Under one inch of rain is anticipated in the central valley.


Snow levels are at around 10,000 feet.


Precipitation is expected to end by Tuesday night with only some showers lingering over the mountains on Wednesday.


Dry and warmer weather is forecast during the later part of the week as high pressure returns. Temperatures in the central valley will be over 100 degrees by the weekend.
