Angels Camp Museum A Gem

Angels Camp, CA — The New Director for the Angels Camp Museum outlines her goals.

Kimberly Arth says, “My number one priority is helping to get the word out about this gem of a museum in the City of Angels Camp.”

Arth comes from Phoenix Arizona where she was the director of the Deer Valley Rock Art Center for six years. Click here for an earlier story detailing Arth’s experience. She says she has a strong background in, “Understanding diverse audiences and how to get educational programs out to the community.”

Arth stresses the importance of reaching out to schools in the area, “Right now, our initial focus is on building school programs and tours. I am working with the education staff and we are working to put together a volunteer program for the museum which will help us continue the interactive exhibits.”

Arth replaces Craig Hadley who was fired in September of last year by City Administrator Michael McHatten. Back then, McHatten said he could not talk about Hadley’s termination due to confidentiality reasons.
