Update: Kewin Mill Road Impacted By Storm

Update at 4pm: Kewin Mill Road has received extensive damage north of Belleview Elementary School. Starting at 3pm, Tuolumne County road crews began installing a temporary bridge. The work is expected to last until midnight. Some of the time their will be one way traffic control along Kewin Mill Road, but for a four hour period, during the construction, it will be completely closed. The roads department notes that it is best to avoid Kewin Mill Road altogether today, if possible.

Original story posted at 9am: Sonora, CA — Kewin Mill Road has some damage due to the heavy rainfall that has passed through this weekend.

Vehicles have been passing through this morning, but county road crews have just arrived on scene to assess the situation, along with the Tuolumne County Fire Department. If you are planning to travel on Kewin Mill Road, near Comstock Ranch, be prepared for activity and the possibility of needing to take an alternate route.
