Storm Related Road Closure

Groveland, CA – Debris from this week’s wicked weather has Wards Ferry Road shutdown along two sections.

The Tuolumne County Roads Division reports one section where crews are working to remove large rocks from the roadway spans between Deer Creek Bridge and Groveland. The other closed section stretches from Powell Ranch Road to Theil Road to allow workers to clear away large debris, like tree branches and brush, littering the roadway.

County road officials detail that Wards Ferry will remain closed until further notice. They ask motorists to avoid the area if possible, but add if that the roadway must be taken, drivers to slow down and obey all signage and flaggers in the construction zone.
