The Stormy Weather Brings Down Several Trees Creating Road Hazards In The Mother Lode

Sonora, CA — The stormy weather hitting the Mother Lode is bringing down trees and creating road hazards.

In Tuolumne County, there is a report of a tree into a home in the 22400 block of Lilac Lane near Scenic Drive in Twain Harte, off of Highway 108. Initially it was reported that the residents were trapped inside, but when emergency crew arrived on the scene all had escaped the home unharmed. The large tree is blocking the roadway. Also, in that area, a downed tree being held up by a phone wire is creating a hazardous condition on Middle Camp Road near Lazy Z Lane. The CHP is asking motorist to avoid the area.

In Calaveras County, several trees have come down. The roadways that are impacted include Railroad Flat at Silver Mountain Road in the Rail Road Flat area, Copper Cove Drive near Arrowhead Street in the Copperopolis area and Pool Station Road near Riata Way in the Angels Camp area.
