Update: Seasonal Mountain Passes Closed For Season

Update at 12pm: Caltrans reports that Highway 108 Sonora Pass and Highway 4 Ebbetts Pass are also both closed for the winter season.

Original story posted at 9am: Yosemite, CA — Yosemite National Park announces that two popular mountain passes will remain closed through the winter months.

With heavy snow received last week, and more arriving this week, the decision was made to just keep the gates closed moving forward. Tioga Pass is closed between Crane Flat and five miles west of Lee Vining and Glacier Pass is closed between the Yosemite Ski and Snowboard area to Glacier Point.

Clarke Broadcasting checked in with Caltrans as well regarding Highway 4 Ebbetts Pass and Highway 108 Sonora Pass, and more information regarding their statuses is expected to be released later today.
