Mother Lode Roadway Rumble

Tuolumne County, CA — Motorists will face delays through the winter season on a stretch of Highway 49 that involves two Mother Lode counties.

Caltrans will begin its $854,000 Rumble Strip Installation Project on Monday (Nov. 26) that will stretch along 35 miles of the highway in both Tuolumne and Mariposa counties. Dreambuilder Construction Corporation out of the Los Angeles area will install the center and shoulder rumble strips. The project is slated for completion in March of next year.
