Medical Marijuana Dispensary Back On Sonora Council Agenda

Sonora, CA — The Sonora City Council is planning to approve the final reading of an ordinance to approve a development agreement with Hazy Bulldog, LLC for a medical marijuana dispensary on Mono Way.

We reported that the City Council voted October 15 to approve the initial reading of the ordinance, 5-0.

On today’s agenda is a plan to waive the second reading and approve the third and final required one. The company would pay the city a “public benefit” payment each month to offset or mitigate any potential project impacts that would be no less than $10,000 per month, or five percent of the gross monthly receipts. The project would additionally be subject to security protocols, including surveillance cameras and an alarm system. Additionally, the project has odor control and insurance requirements along with a waste management plan.

The applicant is Jeff Muzio and the business is set to be located at 1243 Mono Way, west of Sanguinetti Road.

Today’s meeting starts at 5pm at Sonora City Hall.
