Calaveras walked off the field with a commanding victory over Highland (11th seed) last night, 44 to 7. The team now heads to Escalon to take on the Cougars, while the Sonora Wildcats got a week off.
6th seed Calaveras will square off against 3rd seed Escalon in the CIF Sac-Joaquin Division Six bracket. The game will be next Friday at 7 p.m. on the Cougars home turf as they are the lower ranking seed.
Meanwhile, we now know what team Sonora High will play as Foothill beat Pioneer last night 55 to 12. The Wildcats are in the Division Five bracket. Foothill is the 5th seed and Sonora is the 4th giving the Wildcats home field advantage. The game is next Friday night at Dunlavy Field at 7 p.m.
