CHP Identifies Victim In Fatal O’Byrnes Ferry Road Crash

Copperopolis, CA — A 71-year-old Patterson woman was killed in a two vehicle crash on Wednesday afternoon in Calaveras County.

It happened at 2pm on O’Byrnes Ferry Road near Duchess Drive in the Copperopolis area. The CHP reports that 31-year-old Eliah Joy Curry Jensen of Patterson was driving a Jeep that made a left turn directly into the path of a Scion driven by 30-year-old Daniel Glover of Woodbridge. The front of Glover’s Scion hit the side of Jensen’s vehicle, causing fatal injuries to Jensen’s passenger, 71-year-old Daveonne Curry. She was taken by ambulance to Mark Twain Medical center where she was later pronounced dead.

Glover suffered major injuries and was taken to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto for treatment. Jensen had three additional passengers in her vehicle, and one of which, a three-year-old boy, sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Adventist Health Sonora. Jensen was also transported to Adventist Health Sonora for minor injuries.

The CHP reports that drugs and/or alcohol were not a factor in the crash.
