Mono Way And Greenley Intersection Construction Nears End

Sonora, CA — Construction of the Mono Way and Greenley Road widening project is pretty much complete, according to City of Sonora engineer Jerry Fuccillo.

There will be a number of minor items done over the next couple of weeks, including some final pavement markings, signing and general cleanup. There are no anticipated traffic delays at the intersection, moving forward. The final work will take place during both the daytime and overnight hours.

There is a new crosswalk in operation, crossing Mono Way between the Rite Aid corner and the removed Corner Gas building. The entrances to Adventist Health Sonora’s new Diana J. White Cancer Institute will remain closed until that project is completed, according to the city.

George Reed, Inc. has been overseeing the roughly $3.2-million widening project.
