Local Football Teams Advance To Playoffs

Sonora, CA — Sonora, Summerville and Calaveras high schools will all be in action next week in round one of the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section playoffs.

There are seven brackets, and Sonora High is the top seed among the eight teams in Division V. The Wildcats (8-2) will host Highlands (7-3) at 7pm this coming Thursday at Dunlavy Field. You can hear the game live on Star 92.7.

Summerville High is the third seed among the eight teams in Division VI. The Bears (8-2) will host Hilmar (5-5) this coming Thursday at 7pm at Thorsted Field. The game will air live on 93.5 KKBN.

Sonora and Summerville football games are also streamed live on myMotherLode.com.

Calaveras High (9-1) is the second seed in Division V and will face Ripon (7-3) in San Andreas this coming Friday at 7pm.
