Update: Winter Storm Warning In The Mountains

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the western slope of the northern Sierra Nevada, until 4 AM Wednesday.

Heavy snow is expected at times.

Total additional snow accumulations will range from four to seven inches.

Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

Travel could be very difficult to impossible. If you must travel, have a winter survival kit with you. The kit should include tire chains, plenty of food, a good deal of water, warm clothing, and a flashlight in case of an emergency. Slow down and use caution while traveling. If you get stranded, stay with your vehicle.
