The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for both the Mother Lode and the Sierra Nevada, which is in effect through 4 PM Monday.
An additional four to fourteen inches of total snow accumulation is likely.
A Winter Storm Warning means severe winter weather conditions are either expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Strong winds are also possible. Only travel in an emergency. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
