New CHP Lt. Commander Embraces Role

Sonora, CA — Hear about the goals of the new Lt. Commander of the Sonora Area California Highway Patrol.

Lt. Shane Ferreira, a Merced native, has spent over 20  years with the CHP. He has worked in Ventura, Merced and Madera counties. On this weekend’s Mother Lode Views he will speak about his background, priorities for the Sonora unit, newly implemented traffic laws and unique challenges in Tuolumne County.

Ferreira replaced outgoing Lt. Commander Scott Clamp.

Mother Lode Views airs Saturday and Sunday morning at 9:30 on AM 1450 and FM 102.7 KVML. Mother Lode Views can also be heard Sunday morning at 10 o’clock on 93.5 KKBN and at 9 a.m. on STAR 92.7.
