Caltrans Road Roundup For The Week Of Nov. 7-11

Sonora, CA — The sunny skies will allow Caltrans crews to keep busy in the Mother Lode next week.

Some possible hefty delays in Tuolumne County along Highway 120 with crews working on a couple of stretches of the roadway, which will create anywhere from 10 to 15-minute hold ups.

Flaggers will be conducting one-way traffic control on the highway from Old Priest Grade Road to Evergreen Road for tree work beginning Sunday through Wednesday from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Additional tree work along Highway 108 between Chief Fuller Way and Kennedy Meadows continues Sunday through Thursday from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m., which could cause travelers up to 10-minute delays.

Highway 120’s closure remains in place in the overnight hours for work on the James E. Roberts Bridge, Sunday through Friday, detouring motorists for about 15-minutes from 5 p.m. until 7 a.m.

Next week motorists will also face 10-minutes delays on Highway 4 in Calaveras County. There will be one-way traffic control along sections of the roadway from the Stanislaus/Calaveras County line to Cabbage Patch Log Road. Caltrans offers this schedule:

Utility work on Highway 4 between Lakemont Drive and Henry Street continues to slow traffic daily from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. That same work and some paving will also mean minor slowdowns in the following Calaveras locations next week: on Highway 26 weekdays between Nove Way and Highway 12, from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.; along Highway 49 weekdays between Main Street and Pool Station Road, from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Striping operations are starting up again Monday through Wednesday from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Highway 12 between the San Joaquin/Calaveras County line and Highway 49, triggering 10-minute backups. More striping, utility and tree work along various stretches of Highway 26 beginning at Shelton Road and ending at the Calaveras/Amador County line will prompt up to 10-minute delays.
