Public’s Help Still Needed Regarding Deadly Crash

Tuolumne County, CA — The CHP is reaching out to the public for a second time in hopes someone will help identify a vehicle involved in a triple fatal hit and run on J-59 in Tuolumne County last Friday.

As first reported here, an elderly man, mother, and daughter were killed in the crash while their sibling and another teen suffered serious injuries. The accident happened on J-59/La Grange Road near the Bond Flat Road intersection when an unknown vehicle crossed over the double yellow lines causing a head-on collision between two other vehicles. (More details and names of the deceased can be found here.) Officer Faustino Pulido updates, “We have been reviewing surveillance videos. We’re in the process of identifying multiple vehicles that were in the area just prior to the collision but we’re still asking if anybody knows anybody that may have been driving through the area around 4:20 p.m. that Friday afternoon to call the Sonora Area CHP Office at (209)984-3944 or myself at (916) 634-3502.”

Pulido reports that the son and brother of the two women that died and another teenage girl that suffered major injuries were flown from the scene to a Modesto hospital and both are now listed in stable condition.
