West Point, CA — The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help from the public in locating a man that allegedly stole a vehicle.

A dark blue Honda CRV with a license plate 5XEM108 was taken this afternoon in the West Point area near Lily Gap and Roden Drive. The suspect stated his name is “Josh” and he is described as being in his early 20’s with long black hair and a black beard. The Sheriff’s Office says he was last seen wearing a tan jacket, black Jackson Rancheria shirt and green jeans. He was reportedly in possession of a switchblade knife. The Sheriff’s Office asks that people in the area use appropriate caution, such as keeping your residences locked, and do not approach the suspect. If you see the vehicle, you are asked to call 911 or contact the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office at 209-754-6500. No further information is immediately available.
