New Director Hired At Mother Lode Job Training

Sonora, CA – A Sonora resident and veteran business executive lands the top spot at Mother Lode Job Training.

Dave Thoeny was chosen by The Mother Lode Job Training (MLJT) Board of Directors for his extensive strategic planning, economic development, and workforce development experience. He was interviewed by a team consisting of District Supervisors from Amador, Calaveras, Tuolumne, and Mariposa counties along with business, labor, and economic development leaders.

Chairman of the Board Randy Hanvelt shares, “A focus for MLJT moving forward is demand-driven workforce development, where we partner closely with business to understand their workforce needs and customize our career services accordingly. Dave’s background developing strategic partnerships, combined with his strong mother lode community connections, offers a unique opportunity to leverage critical business, education, economic development, and other partnerships for combined effect.”

Thoeny is currently a board member of the Tuolumne County Economic Development Authority (TCEDA), Sonora Regional Medical Center Civic Advisory Board (CAB), and Sonora Sunrise Rotary club. He is already on the job and will work with Jeff Dickason, who is retiring in December after five years on the job.
