Sonora Man Injured In Motorcycle Accident

Sonora, CA — The CHP reports that a man was flown to a hospital in Modesto following a motorcycle crash on Phoenix Lake Road.

It happened at 9am Friday near the intersection of Bear Cub Drive. 41-year-old Richard Klidies was going into a curve at a high rate of speed and allowed his 2002 Suzuki GSXR-1000 to drift off the road. The motorcycle hit the rear of a parked pickup truck and Klidies was ejected and thrown from the bike. The CHP reports that he suffered severe head and body trauma. He was transported to Doctors Medical Center to treat major injuries.
