Traffic Alert: Temporary Light In Sonora

Sonora, CA – Motorists heading along Lyons Street to get to either South Washington Street or Greenley Road will hit a new traffic light in Sonora – but it is only temporary.

City Officials report utility work to replace an underground vault is being done along Lyons Street. In order for crews to do the work, it requires shutting down one lane. The signal is between Hope Lane and Palemone Road. The light will direct one-way traffic control in the area. City officials expect the work to run through this week but acknowledge it could go into next week.
