Hear From The Candidates For Office In Tuolumne County

Sonora, CA — The candidates for the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors and Sonora City Council will take questions on a variety of topics this evening.

The Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce’s Candidates Night will get underway at six o’clock in the Board of Supervisors meeting room in downtown Sonora. You can hear the event live in its entirety on AM 1450 and FM 102.7 KVML or by  clicking here on myMotherLode.com.

Candidates for Sonora City Council include incumbents Bill Canning and Connie Williams and challengers Matt Hawkins and Mark Plummer. Candidates for Supervisor District One are incumbent Sherri Brennan and challengers Chuck Kiel and Jerry Fuccillo. In District Four there are two candidates, incumbent John Gray and challenger Don Matter and in District Five there is incumbent Karl Rodefer and challenger Sara Shier.

Questions will be asked by Clarke Broadcasting News Director BJ Hansen, Union Democrat Editor Lyn Riddle and the Chamber’s Governmental Affairs Committee representative Margaret Davis. If time allows, members of the public will also be able to ask questions.

The primary election is coming up June 7.
