Bigelow Talks Dead Trees, Fire And Water

Sonora, CA — Hear about the latest efforts by the state to fight the drought, bark beetles and fire.

This weekend’s Mother Lode Views features Mother Lode District 5 Assemblymember Frank Bigelow. He will discuss hot button issues in the community related to tree mortality, the Yosemite name change debacle, the economy and water issues.  Bigelow says that he sees a real chance for this area to get some of the state water bond monies to improve storage and infrastructure needs at Tuolumne Utilities District.  He also calls on Governor Jerry Brown to tackle the tree mortality issue by declaring a State of Emergency to get some much-needed federal dollars to deal with the growing crisis.

Mother Lode Views airs Saturday and Sunday morning at 9:30 on AM-1450 KVML.  Mother Lode Views can also be heard Sunday morning at 10 o’clock on 93.5 KKBN and at 9am on STAR 92.7.
