Two Butte Fire Disaster Centers To Close

San Andreas, CA — Calaveras County officials have announced the closure of two of the three Butte Fire Disaster Recovery Centers.

The San Andreas center will remain open but its hours are changing. The center is located at 891 Mountain Ranch Road. Its new hours will be Monday-Friday: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., Saturday: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. The facility will no longer be open on Sunday. The mobile centers will permanently close in Mountain Ranch and Rail Road Flat as of 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 24.

Additionally, some deadlines are fast approaching for recovery assistance. As previously reported, the last day to submit a Right-of-Entry permit for help to remove burn debris will be November 6. The deadline for homeowners impacted by the fire to register for assistance with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is November 23. Residents can call 800-621-3362 or register online by clicking here or at the San Andreas Disaster Recovery Center.
