Mirror Images, Different Outcomes

Another nail biter for Sonora as the game came down to a two-point conversion in the last minutes of the game.  Calaveras had the pigskin, but was denied as Wildcat Jesus Rodriguez intercepted the ball and clinched the victory.  Sonora wins on its home turf with the final scoreboard showing Sonora 28 Calaveras 27.

It was a similar scenario, but a different outcome for Summerville on the road in Angels Camp.  The Bears had troubles stopping a very good Bret Harte offense that put up a 99-yard game winning drive.  It was down to the wire as quarterback Travis Rodgers connected with Eli McLaurin for a touchdown.  The Bears failed at an attempt for two giving the Bullfrogs a big win, 29-28.
