Heat Returning To Mother Lode

Sonora, CA — Triple digit temperatures will be the trend over the next several days.

The National Weather Service reports that valley and lower foothill elevations can expect high temperatures ranging from 100-108, today through Saturday. The hottest day is anticipated to be Friday, with slight cooling by Saturday. Temperatures are then expected to drop into the upper 90’s on Sunday. The National Weather Service reports that models are also hinting at the possibility of a few showers or thunderstorms over the weekend. Lightning strikes would be a cause for concern due to the hot and dry conditions.

Temperatures are then anticipated to drop back into the mid-eighties by the middle of next week.
