Summerville Puts Up 70 Against Mariposa

Tuolumne, CA — Summerville High School improved to 2-0 on the football season by defeating the Mariposa Grizzlies last night.

The Bears and the Grizzlies traded blows early in the evening. Summerville QB Travis Rodgers had another 200 yard game with two touchdowns leading his team to the win. But on top of that was Nathaniel Ulvevadet with four total touchdowns, and also Jake Fulkerson with two and Jacob Hegger with one. The Bears came to play, as the defense forced a safety and had two interceptions. The final score was Summerville 70 and Mariposa 44.

Tonight Sonora High is on the road taking on Lodi. Hear the game live on Star 92.7 with the pregame at 6:45 and the kickoff at 7:15. The action will also be streamed in the high school sports section on myMotherLode.com.

Meanwhile, Bret Harte High School will have its home opener tonight against Orestimba and Calaveras High is traveling to Escalon.
