Sonora, CA — Do not be alarmed if you see several firefighters staged along Mono Way near the Junction Shopping Center.
Local firefighters with CAL Fire, Tuolumne County Fire and CDF L2881 are “filling the boot” for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Last year, firefighters raised $417,000, statewide for MDA. CAL Fire’s Barry Rudolph reports that today’s fill the boot drive will run until 3pm.
MDA is the world’s largest non-profit health agency dedicated to finding treatments and cures for muscular dystrophy, ALS and neuromuscular diseases.
