Suspect Named In Manhunt

Jamestown, CA – The foot search has ended for a suspect who led Tuolumne County Sheriff’s deputies on a car chase that began in Jamestown around 2:15 p.m. Wednesday with the suspect still on the loose.

Sheriff’s spokesperson Sgt. Scott Johnson say the suspect is 26-year-old Andrew Buzinskis who is wanted on several felony warrants in the county, including being armed in the commission of a felony.  He was driving a pickup on Jamestown road when a deputy spotted him and tried to pull him over. Buzinskis sped off and the deputy took chase. The pursuit ended in the area of Gunsight Road off Big Hill road, according to Johnson, who says Buzinskis, the lone person in the truck, took off on foot.  Sgt. Johnson says, “We did an extensive area check, but were unable to locate Mr. Buzinskis and his truck was towed from the scene.”

Johnson adds no weapons were seen on the suspect during the chase adding, “We don’t have any information at this time that he has a weapon with him, but that’s always a concern.” Deputies will continue to monitor the area and ask if you have any information on Buzinskis whereabouts to contact the Sheriff’s department at (209) 533-5815.
