Law Enforcement Removing Vehicle

Sonora, CA — Expect some traffic delays if you are traveling on Highway 49 in Calaveras County near Carson Hill.

CHP Officer Rebecca Myers says officials are currently working to clean up an accident that occurred yesterday. 25-year-old Robert Ulrey of Lodi lost control of his 1997 Ford F-250 and it rolled down a steep embankment. He was traveling at an unknown speed, and the highway was wet at the time of the crash. Ulrey suffered minor injuries and was transported to Sonora Regional Medical Center.

Officer Myers says Highway 49 will be down to one-lane until around 1pm, while the vehicle is removed. Be prepared for a delay between Carson Hill and the Stevenot Bridge, or plan to take an alternate route.
