Taps Back On

Tuolumne County, CA – Sonora Water Company customers that had gone without water for more than 24 hours have running water once again.

The areas affected included Mill Villa, Wood Creek and the Manor in Tuolumne County.  One customer says her water started flowing again around 11:40 a.m., but came out dirty brown and the pressure was low.  She says it took her about 10 minute of flushing the pipes for the water to run clear and full.

Company officials did not return our phone call inquiring about the main break.  There was a message on its Sonora office phone advising customers of the problem and that crews were working on repairs.  There are reports that a large tree over the pipe main caused added repair delays, as the roots had to be cut away from the area where the pipe had burst.
