Gift To Skiers

Pinecrest, CA — The snowy weather has brought a gift to skiers as Dodge Ridge Ski Area officials have announced its opening on Wednesday, December 17.

“The latest storm brought over 14 inches of snow on the summit of the mountain and 10 inches at the base,” says Resort Spokesperson Sean Waterman, “When we saw the weather forecast with a storm rolling in we decided to open up.”

Waterman says limited runs are scheduled to open and depending on what happens over the next couple of days, even more runs could open.  To find out ski information tune into any of Clarke Broadcasting’s three radio stations, KVML AM-1450, Star 92.7 or KKBN 93.5 for the “Road, Snow and Ski Reports” throughout the day.  Waterman says last year the ski area did not open until February due to the drought so he says this season is already looking bright.
